Omega-3 fatty acids decreased in social anxiety disorder...

I've been taking cod liver oil supplements for a couple of months, hasn't done a thing.

Look at all the happy, confident loud people out there who have crap, junk food diets (most of the people I know). I'm sure nutrition plays a part in the way you feel, but not as big a part as some would have us believe, I think. Personally I have a really good diet, plenty of fruit and feg, fish etc., but I still get depressed alot and am still very sa.

Does cod-liver oil have a high content of EPA and DHA? Just curious? Since I`m from Norway I`m not so familiar with this, but I think it is what we call "tran".

I personally do not think omega 3 is a cure for SA, but I think it can be of great help for some. I think it is worth to give it a try since it also have many other health benefits.

"Since the human body does not produce omega-3 fatty acids on its own, canned tuna, high in lean protein and low in saturated fat, is an easy and delicious way to add omega-3 to any diet."

Personally I think I`ll just stick with my omega-3 capsules, since tuna is not my favourite...

Thanks by the way!

I take flaxseed oil which has one type of Omega 3. I had been feeling exceptionally tired and depressed. I felt a lot better within a few days, so that helps with the SA.

You should be careful of taking too high doses of cod liver oil because of the risk of Vitamin A poisoning.

This is a good article on Omega 3 if anyone is interested.
