Not entitled to an opinion

I don't like to criticize people for that reason. Whenever someone criticizes me, I understand that they're (usually) just trying to be helpful. But I hate when people put me down for saying something because I don't have a social life or friends. My sister's in that nasty teenage stage where she likes to pick on her classmates for being weird or different, and whenever I say something to her about it she always says 'Yeah because you would know, having so many friends and living at home'. Ugh. I think I know a lot about how to act around people and how to treat friends.

When they question your credibility, just supply the evidence for your claims. The argument is what matters, not the person making it. For example, if a respected scientist makes the claim that the world is only 6,000 years old, he'll quickly lose all credibility as a scientist unless he can somehow manage to back up that ridiculous claim.
