Natural or Wholistic Treatments

Has anyone seen a naturopathic doctor to help with SA, bipolar or OCD symptoms?

Displaying trouble with comprehension to the word naturopathic. Is this dealing with Natural? Natural as in just going out and speaking? Or natural as in 'hey, take these'?

Either way my answer is no, never done. Have you? How does it work?

I consulted with a naturopathic doctor a few years back. It helped with energy mainly. At some points I also experienced more mental clarity. Soon, I plan to visit the Naturopathic College's clinic in my area. I hope to indirectly seek the advise of a clinic supervisor who is also an Orthomolecular doctor, mental health specialist.
I am more inclined to try the earthly methods, i.e. Nutrition and diet, carefully chosen herbs, etc. I've tried various methods. How about you? Overall, I believe I have improved. Still exploring!!!

Alright, still not compreheding something here. Let's try simpler. RBS, is this all about diet? You, I feel, are saying I may be able to change my thought, my personality, which has been engraved from years I cannot recall, with diet? No, that's not what you're saying.

I am sorry, help me here.

Maybe not for some people, maybe not for you, I know that diet makes all the difference for me. I'm sensitive to gluten and milk, to the point that I have mental breakdowns the next 3 days if I eat any of it, and I'm way more anxious than I thought possible, I have just recently discovered this. Also, after doing years of research, i'm finding stories of people who go on the raw food diet and are able to look people in the eye and speak to them without over analysing because they have an 'inner calm' from their health, and new found confidence. It sounds crazy, but i'm persuaded. Diet with physical activity can make small or large differences but I do believe it makes a difference! You'd be surprised... I've gone through periods of proof with diet and exercise, of course, i'm still where I am because I am afraid of success and i'm used to how I am.... it may not change how you have always been, but it will make the introspection, the over analysing, and most importantly the exaggeration on these things weaker.

I'm also visiting Naturopathic doctor and like RizingBurningSun the diet given to me has made a difference in my energy levels. Although I've reached to the conclusion that a correct diet by itself isn’t sufficient for curing SA besides your energy levels you also have to find ways to raise your mental energies as well by means of doing any activity that can make you have fun and satisfy you...thus I'm trying to fit in the time to my schedule after coming from work to try figure out what things I can do better to raise my mental energies.

That is hopefull news :)

Yup, it's not just about diet. But diet is a great way to ingest some of those minerals and vitamins your body is lacking. I guess common sense says, you have to eat anyway, so why not focus on eating foods that support good health? Easier said than done, right?
I was a raw vegan for a couple of years. I do recall having a lighter-spirited mood during that period in my life; many more adventures, that's for sure.
But, guessed, I did have results and some relief, but I must say it was not speedy, and maybe not the only solution and ultimate solution.
It appears to me that these disorders have layers with different solutions. And of course, we are all biochemically unique, so it's always going to be different for everyone.
