Even though it is Nasa, I decided to post it in the UK forum because the article and Dr. Who originate there. :)

So what is this crack? it’s “the core of a thick, sooty cloud large enough to swallow dozens of solar systems and may be harboring beastly stars in the process of forming.”

So the low low budget of Doctor Who was because they were saving for something big, just as I predicted. The beeb have outdone themselves!

I like to think of being out there in space amongst all those anomalies. See what can be seen with the naked eye. I wonder if they will ever do a game or some such that can scale some of the known phenomena and render it so you can explore.
