I was cooking, and she's a girl. there was that silence between us when I went outside to cook.

Thank god at the time, the smoke ventilator was on, so it was noisy.

but then, i finished cooking, and either of us were talking.

Now I just finished eating, I gota force myself out side to wash my dishes,

I hope she doesn't feel I don't want to talk, or I don't like her (not a crush) that kind of thing.

This sucks.

I don't have any advice, but I know how you feel!

I live in a dorm and have that problem several times a day...btw I'm assuming you don't talk to her much, ever? I always just wait 'til I'm sure no-one's in the kitchen (by pressing my ear up against my door, lol, how sad) and then go out. Not recommended, because the blood pressure and heart rate skyrocket when you do that!

Ideally you would make smalltalk, but I'm not going to be a hypocrite here...

Sorry I'm not much help!

Dude, I have guests over right now and if feel anxious as ever. I have to step away every few minutes just to relax. And I initiated this. I haven't had guest months. I'm trying to fight it head on. lol. It's just making me more nervous. One guest just said to "stop surfing for porn!" lol

This is exactly why I can't roommate. The LAST thing I want or need to be is uncomfortable in my OWN home. Don't have much advice for ya.

I need a roommate. Haven't had one in a few years. I contemplate getting one because of the lack of privacy I'll have and them seeing what a nervous social phobe I am.

that`s the reason why I go to my apartment only to take shower and sleep. my housemates rarely see me and they probably think that I`m a freak. I usually wait in front of the apartment in my car until they turn off the light and go to bed, so that I don`t have to talk to them.

If you have an IPOD, you can always listen to that when you go into the common area.

Dude, just ask her how her day was. if you don't want to talk to her, but still don't want awkward silence, just make small talk.
