I'm really bad at small talk.
First, because I don't share anything in common with normal people, I have a total disinterest in everything they like (sports, cars, talking behind people's back, etc.) and they have a total disinterest in everything I like (science, literature, philosophy, psychology, etc.).
Second, because I always push things too far. It's like I always need to do everything BIG. I cannot just go and talk to someone about the weather without leaving a special impression on the person, and I'm no weather physicist so it has to turn into me asking personal questions and starting trying to help that person in his life, but we all ought to know by now where that leads most the time...
