making money outside of full time

I've been trying to go with the classic working full time at a set time but it's not "working out" too well. I was wondering what other ways there was to make $ independently minus things that could get you in trouble with the law I would be interested in starting a blog for an example but not sure where to start. Maybe wordpress? Also maybe selling something online?

Starting a blog means putting ads on your page and getting enough people to visit your blog to make good enough money, which is very difficult because each view is worth like 0.0001 cents. I do translation on the side.

fiverr.com probably will pay better than any blog. Also, I would recommend scribie.com which pays you to transcribe words from 5 minute audio clips. Also, there's always the stock market if you study up on how to trade and become comfortable/good at it.
