Great quote. Yes I also feel the same way, just want to reconnect with people and develop some more meaningful friendships, but SA keeps getting in the way. Life's just so much easier in all areas as a shared experience.

Of course I do. Although I'm pretty sure that the people you mentioned that suffer from other problems like disease and poverty are lonely as well, seeing that people avoid them a lot. Human beings thrive on personal connections and working together and without it, misery is soon to follow. If you believe in the Bible, in the very beginning, being alone is the first thing God said "wasn't good".
