Leaving home?

Hi, I am a seventeen year old girl who is suffering from extreme social phobia. I am in year 13 and had to leave school this year due to my anxiety. Fortunately I still managed to get into uni due to my good grades last year. The university I am going to is quite close to where I currently live at home with my parents. I think that going to live at the university halls would be good for me as it would help me to make friends more easily. Has anyone else found that living at uni helps you to get over SA? I am really unsure of whether to carry on living at home next year and would really appreciate help with the decision.

Living in the dorms helps you get over SA if you take advantage of it. What I mean by this is that you will come up to fork on the road so to speak in your life - you will have to make the decision between getting out there and involved in the dorms life OR stay locked up in your room and seldom go out and not get involved with people.
