Got first job!!!! The hr manager called for an orientation which will have new people in a crowded room. Do you have to talk there or do you just liston and watch a video or something? She said it's a long process =/

That depends on what type of job it is. More than likely it will be mostly you signing stuff, listening to someone talk, and watching videos. You may have to answer a few questions too.

Congratulations!! :)

I have no idea either, maybe other people who have worked there can tell you?
You could even try and google the company (or check some job/career forums) to see if there's anything online about it?

I've worked a grocery store gig. What position did you apply for?

I think I applied as a "clerk", but I literally did everything when I was there, including customer service, cashiering, training, ordering, unloading trucks, etc. LOTS of human interaction was involved, and in all honesty, I kind of miss it.

Kind of. haha.

That sounds kinda stressful but i'm glad you enjoyed it! Working in dairy so i'll be in the back for the most part lifting stuff and helping people with stuff lol not completely sure yet :)

Make sure you watch your back and do back strengthening exercises and read up on lifting properly.. (there are pictures that help! online and in books) Some people didn't watch their backs and could have big problems later..

Other than that, congrats on the job and I hope they'll let you have some discounted yogurts! (?)

haha. I did that, too. It's cool because you can just hide in the cooler when you're not up to facing the customers, and if they call you up front to bag or cashier, you can always pull the, "Sorry, I was in the cooler" line and just not go up.

Only downside though is on cold days when you're under the weather, the cooler doesn't feel too nice.

Anyway, congrats on the job. :)

Haha, and yeah.. it can snow a lot here during winter time, but would rather that then using a cash register! Guess like you said they may ask for me to but.. didn't hear the request because I was in the coooler :)
