Is it easier to trace an IP from a smartphone or PC?

I recently received harassing messages on my smartphone. I don't know who is doing it, but if they are using a smartphone, is it easier to trace than a Personal Computer or Laptop? I'm not computer saavy, so any info would be greatly appreciated.

It's much easier to block the number

It's easier to trace from a PC as a smart-phone is usually on roam which is kinda like a proxy.

If you can get them to send you an email, you can then go into the email header and see their IP address.

What does getting there ip do ? nothing other then helping report them which you don't need a ip for anyway.

You can ask your phone company to trace for you.
