I have a conflict..

Oh, dear. This is quite the awkward dilemma! Honestly, though, you should be able to talk to your friends about this. I know, easier said than done, especially if they are not REAL friends, but just people you have to hang out with at school (because we all know that school would be a living hell if we absolutely had no one there to hang out with at all!).

If you absolutley can't talk to them honestly, you can either get sick that day, or, painfully, just grit your teeth and struggle through the day. Worst case scenario, you lose these three friends, but I highly doubt it would come down to that.

I guess you could ask one more person to go..that way it would be even for riding the rides.

Maybe mention that to your friends...tell them why it would be better with one more person or one less...I wouldnt want to go either with an odd number like that.

Well...shit. That is tough.

I think you should still go, though. You just might not end up as an outsider and have a good time.

Maybe you could ask one of your friends to invite another person, make it an even number for the rides, and you dont know anyone who's available to go on that day.

Let us know how it turns out, okay?

Wow, that's rough... I hate to say it, but you might have to be the seventh wheel. As much as I don't like to encourage lying, it might be your only other option.

TELL THEM

Wow I face your delima at least once a week. What I do is tell them the truth. I tell people the reason I dont hang out with them is because I dont want to slow them down. I tell them that I know they will do things like drink and since i dont drink I will just stand out in the crowd.

If they still want me to go after hearing my true reason I sometimes go because it tells me that; they already have an idea of what kind of person I am and they will not expect too much from me.

About being the third wheel it sucks but sometimes you connect to someone and then someone else becomes the third wheel.

man thats tough. I totally know how that feels. I like the suggestion made about asking your friends to see if they know anyone else that wants to come along too.
