ok, I know this is pretty childish, but does anyone else still really hate being told off?! I know I'm an adult and should be able to deal with this stuff by now but I just hate it when people get angry at me.
Some random old man just had a massive go at me for cycling on the pavement! He was fuming! He goes "this isn't a bl***y cycle path, get on the road!".
Usually if I know I'm in the right I can just ignore people like this but annoyingly I know he was right in this instance. It's illegal to cycle on the paths. I do it just cause it's so much safer and I end up holding up tons of traffic on the roads otherwise and make all the drivers angry.
argh, I wish it didn't bother me so much, but to be honest I'm dreading bumping into that guy again now.
how do you guys deal with being told off? anyone get told off a lot? I can usually rise above it if I feel that I'm in the right, but it's just those times when I'm either unsure or definitely in the wrong that it hits me a lot harder and I start feeling a lot more guilty.
