How to become carefree?

I recently realized that I am uptight almost around the clock. My schedule seldom changes, and most if not all of my activities are consistent.

I'm starting to see first hand why people think I'm boring. I remind myself of Hank Hill (he's cool though).

How can I be carefree? I thought of maybe buying a bottle of red wine, that's all I can think of.

If you're uptight, then you need to relax. Figure out why you're uptight, then either address the reasons or don't worry about them.

I guess the easiest way to carefreedom is to just not care. But only about the little, unimportant things and the things you can't control. And instead of getting worked up over things that go wrong, realize that nothing is perfect, and just correct them.

And if other people are the reason that you're uptight, try telling yourself that they sit down to crap just like you do. Or that they put pants on one leg at a time, if you like keeping your mind out of the toilet.

:D

You can become carefree by having a deep rooted passion. I remembered hearing that Einstein once walked into a building full of angry armed (literally) students absent-mindedly...

Not that I advocate absent-mindedness, but if your head is so full of your passion, you really don't have too much room for other things... Or at the very least, it helps a lot, since it gives a creative outlet for you instead of ruminating it over and over

I hate it when people think that you can just make yourself careless in an instant. When you haven't exactly been so careless and free all your life it's not like you can do it in 3-seconds. Or ever.

I used to be uptight too~ I am still VERY shy.. though I try to say **** it..

think the most important thing is that you set your own rules. You take risks and learn how to not plan for what is going to happen all the time. If there is something that you are worrying about, catch yourself worrying, say something to the affect of '**** it' and play a video game... Draw... only worry when its absolutely necessary.

if you worry when you shouldnt it makes you too tightlaced.

You don't really seem boring, I found your post amusing in a good way. Try the red wine, not the whole bottle though. It's good for ya too! Besides that, I don't know, really. A lot of people could seem boring just because they're dedicated to getting somewhere or something, I wouldn't see it as a big deal.

My schedule is consistent only because I get the exact same hours at work every week. Other than that, it's a struggle to find something to do. Usually I go watch a movie with my sister on our days off.
I want to high-tail the hell out of this country and go live near a beach. That would make me feel better.
