How serious is your SA

I think i have the worst SA in the world..

Im too shy to smile, so most of the time my smile looks like im worried, get told that alot too.. people tell me to cheer up, cant be that bad.. relax etc..

So nervous and anxious i speak in a low soft voice, i can barely hear myself and i have to repeat what i say..

I also give slow replys because i am so nervous i am blank and not listening or focus..

I dont dress the way i like because i dont want to stand out, so i tend to dress quite modest looking to not catch attentions.. I dont even tie my hair up.. :p

I dont make the first move to get to know people..

I have work colleague but i wouldnt go up to them to talk to them, its always they who talk to me first..

sometime i am too shy to even say hi and bye to my work colleague..

i dont sing or dance..

thats about it...

im the worst case isnt it?

Hello Popolala,

Well i wouldn't say u are the worse case. I think a lot of people can relate to u. U can't compare
with people i'm worse or i'm better if is going about SA. Is about how u can cope with stuff and handle
it your SA.

By the way is common that people with SA think often they are the worse case this is nothing new to me:)

Well i don't work this u have big plus and is brave! Cheer up u can be proud of yourself actually!
Do u was trying some therapy in anyway?

I'd say my SA is about average. I'm not as severe as some people on here, but I'm definitely not that close to getting rid of it either. :/

I can definitely relate to most of what you say though. I never dress totally the way I want to because I'm afraid of people's judgements and what they would think, so I'm always really basic about my clothes. I hardly ever make the first move to get to know someone, too. I actually did it for the first time this year, and I gained a friend since then. :)

I don't say hi or bye to too many people either. Also, I neither sing nor dance. I only sing if I'm all alone in the house. And alone or not, I've never danced.

It has nothing to do with worse cases. It is just something we all suffer from. Yeah there are more severe cases then others (by that meaning limitations), but by and large, we all experience the same symptoms and we can all relate to every situation we are in, however different.

At times we feel awful because the disruption i has in our life. This may be felt differently by some, but also the same by others.

Comparison shouldnt really matter. But i can see from your post you feel defeated and sad about the situation you have found yourself in and you want to feel differently...we all do!

So to answer your question on "how serious is your SA?", i would say i am just about funcioning. But sure im functioning, its very difficult, and i struggle to function sometimes, but sure we do our best and thats what matters...
