How easy is it to get an ADD diagnosis?

I honestly think I might have it because I can't concentrate that well anymore

can barely read anymore either

have been doing horribly in school, getting worse every year

despite my incredibly high test scores


i think adderall would help me out a lot
i've tried it before and it really does help

How easy is it to get an ADD diagnosis?

Don't know, i've never been diagnosed. If you have trouble concentrating, try meditation. Or you can do what I do: alternate between different tasks. For 30 minutes, work on an assignment. After that, take a break for 10-15 min and switch to another assignment for 30 min. Don't focus on doing one assignment for too long because it gets boring and your mind will drift.

I don't understand the question. Do you mean how easy is it to obtain an official test for ADD, or how easy is it to actually be diagnosed with ADD? To the former I'd say just ask your doctor or mental health specialist. To the latter I'd say, either you have it or you don't (although I suppose there is some gray area, as I was diagnosed as having "some" symptoms of ADD - maybe mild or something). Not all lack of concentration is ADD, though - I think it is being overdiagnosed in the population. Sometimes it's just a matter of being depressed or anxious. Those are one of the hallmark symptoms of each.
