How does the chat messenger work on here?

If you're on a PC just DL Javascript. If you're on a MAC good luck because I still can't figure it out.

Mine just dosen't work. I downloaded java and it didn't work. I even tried dowloading mirc and it still didn't work. Someone was even helping me with it on here, and so there's pretty much no way for it to work for me. ):
