Uh.. hi. I found SocialPhobiaWorld a while back, but was a little too afraid to even post. I just thought I'd come by here and maybe meet a few people. I'm not officially diagnosed (my mother thinks it's a load of crock that I'm too afraid to do anything, regardless of the fact that socializing makes me want to run into a cave and never come out, so no doctors for me.), but I hope I'll fit in here, at least. Maybe I'll have friends here, considering I have none in reality.
Maybe I'll be able to figure out what exactly is wrong with me, though I've been reading up and signs point to AvPD.

Many, many people have that reaction when you tell them about social phobia. It is frustrating, I know.

I think you've come to the right place:),i ve only been on here a few days and I don't feel so alone anymore,I now know there people just like me whose suffering with this horrible conditon...read some of the posts and you'll see ure not so alone:) I'm here if u need a friend

My best friend is my cat, so... yeah I know where your coming from. Hell. Even here people don`t seem to talk to me, so... lol. Anyway yeah i`m new here too, welcome to the forum! I hope your luck here is better than mine! :)

Hey i'm also too afraid to go to the doctor so I just know I have SA from experience, research and online tests as i don't even want my parent's to know. I'm also new here.. its a great place. welcome to the family
