I've recently joined and thought I would say "Hi" 
I'm Emma and I'm from the south of England and have been suffering from social phobia since I started high school, nearly 17 years ago I only recently read an article that made me realise I actually had a problem rather than it just being the way I am....I'm currently trying to build up the courage to go to the doctor about it.
Most people that I have been able to talk to about social phobia, say that I dont have it but they are the people that I feel more comfortable with and so the symptoms dont show up as much.
At the moment its causing a bit of tension with my partner as we are struggling financially and I am having trouble finding a job I feel I can do, that pays a decent wage, I currently have a little online job but that doesnt pay a huge amount....does anyone in the UK suffering with this have any experience of claiming benefits?
I fill up my spare time playing facebook games and doing digital scrapbooking and photography.
I'm pleased I have found a forum of like minded people who understand what i'm going through
Anyway, i think i've rambled on long enough.
