Hello. My internist doctor says I suffer from bad OCD. He gave me the info to a psyc hospital where I can go and told my family to check me in for 2 or more weeks??? What? He was serious. The freeky part was my family agreed with the doc. Glad I'm over 18. That's freeky.
I refused to go under anaesthesia for a medical procedure because of other current medical factors. It was not necessary. That seems to put the icing on the cake for the doc.
Would I be aware if I had OCD? As you can see I am somewhat confused.
I usually "quick rinse" my hands before I touch food. Isn't that what they taught us as kids, go wash your hands before you eat? It is limited to food mostly.
I don't like kissing strangers. I hated it when I was a little kid because adults would smear lipstick all over my face from forced kisses. So after a while like around 3 or 4 yrs old I started to hate being kissed by strangers. A hand shake or hug is fine. Kissing is reserved for close people. So maybe someone that doesn't know about my forced kisses when I was little might think it is just OCD? Or is that OCD?
I figured since it's not one person maybe I should investigate.... OCD/Anxiety. I don't see it. But I am one and they are many... So here I am trying to learn if I have something I can't see my self. Just looking for a self check I guess. I want the truth.
I ran through the usual list... All answered no. They say do you feel you can't breathe. I have asthma. Do you have problems sleeping. I have pain from a medical condition which keeps me up. Do you wash your hands, yes before I eat I rinse with water or some soap and water. Will I eat food that falls on the floor out side, no. Do I like to take showers, yes one a day usually, although if working too long sometimes I have skipped a day. And if working out and all sweaty I would take a second shower.
Ask me anything or is this enough to say no to OCD. BTY I don't repeat things. Sometimes I need to make a list because if I don't I forget to do it. I heard that was OCD so I guess that every person that uses a date book or schedule has OCD too? What do you think.... Is it wrong that I am even asking this? Thanks.
