I didn't like to talk with a psychologist to talk about my social phobia and generalized anxiety disorder it made me more depressed and weak.
So I quited with that

Now I found out that anti depressants are as good as sugar pills...

So now my only hope is cbt doing it on my own :
Overcoming Social Anxiety: Step By Step does somebody has used that ?

I probably will also find a self-help book for my generalized anxiety.

But now I found some recent studies that are contradicting the claims cbt makes and that after 18 months most patience get into relapse and the most effect from cbt is also placebo.....

Isn't the mental health care system based on one big hoax while people working in it don't even know....sure they want to help people... but how can measure anxiety you can't say 1 month ago it was on scale of 1-10 7 and now its 6 so it has been improved thats just subjective...and definitly for social anxiety when you feel bad when you say to you therapist that weeks/months of your and his time hasn't helped at all and what did worked was only the placebo ( placebo also powerfull)

I did find some other intresting studies steroids to threat anxiety disorders especially social anxiety disorder because there seems to be a connection between low Testerone level and anxiety disorders.... + steroids most common effect is increase in cofidence and in some people aggresion.. maybe gonna try that with my bodybuilding.

There also seems that ritalin threated for ADHD/ADD ( I was diagnosed ADD) seems to work for socialphobia it has something to do with dopamine.

Please help me do some people have almost get rid of there social anxiety and what did you do ? and are there some other therapies like mindfullness that are maybe good for anxiety

you're too fixated on the results. don't get ahead of yourself. take one step at a time.

meditation does help. but you must know that being concerned of the outcome beats the purpose of meditation.

there are always loopholes. even the most well founded theories can be contradicted. and like you said, anxiety is subjective. psychology isn't like a mathematical equation to which there's a fixed answer. laws of physics don't even apply to how people think. when you find yourself fearing death, you wouldn't say, "this is happening because there's an abnormality in my brain's neurotransmitters."

the only real way to be sure is by trying it out yourself. of course you should always use what's safe.

just keep moving forward. go for whatever you think might help you. if you're too persistent on finding scientific proofs, then continue digging until you get a hold of something that would satisfy you. just don't get stuck. you'll eventually find your way out.

Maybe you should find another shrink who can make you feel comfortable, give them a chance and please look further if their not specialized in you.

Sugar can make you feel hyper just as caffeine so you can increase anxiety, but for some people with low sugar levels it might help, according to energy and dizziness (can both lead to anxiety)

Yup, used them, but didn't fully listen to them yet, but Dr. A Richards is a wonderful therapist he is very detailled and professional. It's just very hard to keep up with the hand-outs when you're not motivated well enough (like me, I have a LOT on my mind but I will again start, to see if it helps, it sure helps to get more clarity on Social Anxiety , what it really is.

I probably will also find a self-help book for my generalized anxiety.

I think you are doing a lot of things, that's wonderful and strong, but please don't over-tell yourself too do stuff. Take back, relax, breathe.

That's insane, don't worry, CBT is helpful not a curse.

It could help, because it's the mind that's afraid, sub-conciously maybe, but still CBT could help, but you need to believe in it, and if your mind doesn't agree with positive thinking, you can't change.

I don't know about that, interesting, you could research it, but hey, don't get your mind too busy on thinking, all right? it is interesting, do you wanna be a professor on the cure of S.A.D? ;) haha

There also seems that ritalin threated for ADHD/ADD ( I was diagnosed ADD) seems to work for socialphobia it has something to do with dopamine.

Could be, but you should try one thing at a time and keep a log book if it really works, and try it at least for 2 months i think, i know i know you got lots of ideas, but please take back.
