As a rule I think it's better to ask what others have to offer you and not concern yourself with whether or not the other person likes what you have to offer... if they don't like you, then that's on them.

The entire world could reject you and as long as you can accept yourself, you'll at least have some semblance of happiness... but if you reject yourself, then it won't matter who accepts you because you'll never be happy.
