having trouble in class

..Enrolled in a French class. I think the language sounds really beautiful so chose to learn it. I have been watching more movies in order to remember the accent. When I get to class i sound like a robot and also a total idiot. I'm afraid i will fail, because it's hard to talk with an accent in front of others. It's like singing in front of others. We do recordings and when i hear mine it sounds so horrible. When i'm alone i sound decent though.. :: i'm not sure what to do i guess to keep trying or something like that....?
