Has anyone else ever pushed someone away (a friend/acquaintance/colleague) from them/shut them out because they seem like a threat/rival to you? Or am I the only one?
There's been this girl I used to get along reasonably well with, but I always felt weird talking to/associating with her. I've tried numerous times to try and peacefully co-exist with her, but ultimately I've kept pushing her away from me. She was never really a close friend, and then again I don't hate her/dislike her exactly - but she's always come off as a rival, even if she doesn't act like one.
And the strange thing is, I feel/felt no remorse in doing so.
