Having thought about it for several days, I must say that I was rather disappointed by the whole Irene event. Here we got 7.5" of rain, and lots of leaves and small sticks on the ground. No lost power. No leaks or flooding. No branches worthy of the term knocked down. And that elm tree that's slowly splitting apart in the back yard still hasn't had enough.

Here's hoping for Katia.
