Guilt over staying home

i lived with room mates too. it sounds kind of an invitation to get out of your shell and interact with him (them) more. he didn't go into details because he feels your excluding yourself so he doesn't see the point. But i can be 100% wrong and his just being a douche it all depends on the tone of voice.

sometimes i go for walks and just sit at the park for hours then come home like i've actually been somewhere, pff.. so stupid. One year for new years eve, i pretended i went out and sat out the back all by myself so i didn't loook like a loser

sounds familiar to me. During Christmas I'm visiting my parents. Latest at new years eve I have to leave, otherwise I would feel depressed.

I like staying home most of the time but I only feel bad about it because I don't do anything... I need a job. So I can have my own place and stay in all day and not worry what others think about me being in the house all day.

IF you were living on your own would you still be feeling the way you are or is it mainly because you're constantly reminded of their social lives.
like, what is it that bothers you the most about staying home?
is it the social comparisons and fear of judgement or is it because you actually would like to have more of a social l ife/?

I felt this way all last semester (I live in Sydney too, it would be strange if we go to the same uni).
is it the social comparisons and fear of judgement or is it because you actually would like to have more of a social l ife/?
I think it's both... and the same feelings would probably be present even if you lived alone.

I think it might be all those things. I would really like my own social life and they remind me how boring mine is and at the same time I'm embarrassed that someone else is watching me in this lame situation.

I probably wouldn't feel better living alone (as i'd still be bored and lonely)...just maybe less judged and embarrassed.

Its hard enough to feel like a loser...without everyone else knowing hahaha:D
