Getting better

I think this sa or whatever is getting better naturally. I'm going to say some tips that hopefully will help you!

-First, if i'm on the way somewhere I put music on whether walking or driving, which helps distract my thoughts initially. But, the moment the music goes off, it seems so silent. My heart goes faster and all that. I try to ignore the symtoms, think it's pointless and keep going even if I feel it.

-I reward myself for going to classes. Like, i'll give myself one day off per class to miss something like working in groups. Only once, but it's used wisely.

-Healthier diet, and more excersice. I run more, just makes the day go a little better.

-If someone doesn't seem trustful, someone that could potentially talk behind my back, I just try not care anymore. It could be a misunderstanding, who knows. Also you can't make everyone happy.

-Don't get mad at yourself if you make a mistake. You can't go back in time, but you can learn from it.

-Try to find the uniqueness in other people, even if their loud and annoying. Such as their favorite movie, an instrument they play....

-Your opinion matters!

Hope this helps or you can just think it's lame :p

I like it :)

I can't go anywhere alone without having my headphones in. Music makes everywhere seem that little bit more magical.

And healthy diet is a good idea too. Re the rewards thing - I blend the two. I really love crisps and fizzy drinks, but now I've made a deal with myself to cut out anything unhealthy like that from Monday-Friday, but eat what I want to at weekends (in moderation)

I always underestimated the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Last week I was in an amazing mood because I was getting enough sleep, proper breakfasts, exercising before work and a proper balanced diet.

This week I'm on early shifts and I can't sleep before midnight ever so I'm having less sleep (maybe 6 hours a night), skipping breakfast and drinking coffee to wake me up (--> anxious thoughts), and I'm back to feeling quite paranoid and anxious again.

Only now I have more of an idea of how to feel better.

Thank you for sharing your tips. I particularly liked the one about finding the unique part in others. I'm going to try that :)

^ I definitely need to work on those two. I really need to stop expecting myself to make everyone happy, because I obviously can't. It's basically impossible. And I'm constantly kicking myself for mistakes I make, even simple ones.

Good job! Thanks for sharing those tips, and keep it up :)

Me too. It's almost 12 here, and i'm not tired at all and will probably watch something on tv even though it's an early morning. Coffee is kinda like a love hate relationship. At first it seems like a comforting drink but then it transforms. A few moments pass and every little thing seems irritating and/or scary all the sudden. Best to drink it on days when you don't have to deal with too much.... ;)
