Do you know when you developed your AvPD, and why.
Were you abandoned, or did you abandon someone or lose someone close to you in some way?

While growing up I moved 14 times and attended 8 new schools in 4 states.

The longest I've spent at a single school was 2 years (5th-7th), the remainders lasting 1 year or less.

As a child I made close friends but always moved away from them.

As I grew older I found it increasingly difficult to make friends, knowing I would be crushed when I'd have to move again. And it was already difficult to make friends to begin with, being shy and naturally introverted.

When I look back at my school years, I can put an association to each person; such as "star athlete", "honor student", "cool kid", I was always the new kid and nothing more. I never had the chance to define myself before I had to move.

In result, I have no friends or connections - massively evasive, hermit-like avid reader and researcher with a handful of hobbies that only require myself to be present.
