Feel better about yourself

from what I've read, Hyperhidrosis affects roughly 3% of the population. I know we are all unfornately in that 3%. But most, if not all, of you guys stop there. I am also affected by something called vitiligo, the thing Michael Jackson had, which affects roughly 1% of the population. That means, every 10000 people, only 3 are affected by both of these conditions. Although mine vitiligo spots are only visible if I take my shirts off, it made life extra difficult for me. Many of you can go to the pool or the beach and your sweating becomes un-noticable. For me, I can't go to the pool or the beach without people staring at me, nor can I enjoy any indoor activities without staining everything with my sweat. So, yes, you are all very unfortunate. But, hopefully, by sharing my story, you can all feel a bit better about yourself.

We all KNOW there are others worse off. Doesn't help that much. But gee, if you want people to feel sorry for you, ---AWWWWW.

Now, find a site for victims of vitiligo.

I think you took my message the wrong way. I am not trying to get sympathy. My HH is under control with botox, and my vitiligo is cured for almost a year now. All I was trying to say is there are people worse off, and they lived through it. So don't let HH limit your social life.

Even to someone who had vitiligo cured, that was still pretty hurtful. If there was one thing that my conditions taught me, it would be empathy.

Empathy gets you no where.
