I don't have this disease anymore, but I realize now that I had it pretty bad as a child and young teen, enough to attract some nicknames. I was wondering if any of you have tried water fasting. I have heard that a significant cause of hyperhidrosis is eating foods that you cannot tolerate (of course this is not the only cause I realize) and that water fasting would be a good thing to try just to mark food intolerances off of your list. Personally I discovered that it was dairy sugar and grains making the trouble. I highly recommend to try a water fast or try cutting out dairy, grains and sugars if you haven't already... just to make sure
Fasting and hyperhidrosis
That seems like an extreme measure for something that can be controlled with a pill...
Anyway, I get away with minimal sweat these days (33 degree weather) by using certain dry and Old Spice clinical strength for my underarm sweat and Secure wipes for my neck and forehead. The rest of my body still sweats but it's nothing too worrying.
If I want to be safe, I'll throw in an Avert pill (2 mg max - 4 mg destroys me).

hhm I understand it may sound extreme, but usually things that seem abnormal, such as excessive sweating, are symptoms of an underlying problem, rather than the problem itself.
thanks for the tip, it may work for some people but i have tried it before...did NOT help...i have tried fasting of all sorts...now i still eat healthy...every single day i eat only chicken breast, soup ,rice milk (no dairy and very healthy), and sage tea ...nothing helps.....idk what to do anymore ive literally tried everything
Fasting never helped me neither. Had HH since kindergarten. HH does not seem to be anything related to food allergies... for me that is
OH MAN!!! HH since kindergarten! that's terrible. I'm so sorry to hear that.
I did a three day water fast and I've juice fasted as well...it helped my anxiety slightly and therefore helped my HH slightly too, but it wasn't much and didn't last either.
Water fasting is generally a bad idea.
