Fainted in Biology Class

So we were covering organ extraction today and I started feeling very frail and dizzy. I got up to go use the washroom and just collapsed in the dead center of a class of 30 students. Now I feel so fu*king terribly embarrassed and want to curl up and die. My anxiety is at a monthly high and I can do nothing about it. F*cking hate myself for making things tougher than they should be. :crying: :crying: :eek:mg:

Don't feel bad; this kind of thing happens all the time. I almost fainted the first time I assisted at an amputation. It is embarrassing, but people understand and before you know it they will have forgotten all about it. They're probably just glad that it wasn't them who fainted! But next time you feel like you're going to faint, don't stand up and try to walk!

I have a tendency to faint too. I was a groomsman in a wedding and fainted. They threw holy water on me to wake me up. :giggle:

For me, it seems to be related to skipping breakfast. Usually I can tell when I might faint because I start feeling sweaty and weak and then finally my ears start to ring. So I sit down and put my head in my lap immediately, because at least that isn't as disruptive as fainting.

I know this probably won't help but... well, there's a very small possibility it will so I might as well say... fainting really is nothing to be embarrassed about. There are many things that I am anxious about socially, but fainting would not be one of them because it's completely involuntary and, well... what's so embarrassing about it? Usually it just causes people to become concerned and want to help; it's not as if they'd be looking at you like you're a freak, most likely they'd be rushing to help. At least, that's been my experience when I've seen things like that happen.

I hope you don't let it bother you too much.
