Has anyone tried using sage either in tea or capsule form, to control hyperhidrosis? I am going to try it since I've read it is the best natural remedy for it.
Has anyone tried using magnesium supplementation? I'm beginning to try this (a tablet containing 500mg Calcium and 250mg Magnesium daily). I have seen a few articles on the internet saying magnesium supplementation can reduce sweating, but nothing really authoritative.
I suffer from hyperhidrosis of the head, face, back and groin areas. It is triggered by the normal things of heat and exercise, however I find that even light exercise like walking (not running) up a hill can leave me dripping with sweat. Although I am a little overweight (I weigh 90kg) I have at least an average level of fitness since I go cycling regularly as well as going to the gym and doing cardiovascular work twice a week.
Although I have tried strong antiperspirants such as Driclor, it is not possible to apply these to all of the areas I have mentioned.
Has anyone had experience of oral medication for generalised hyperhidrosis of the kind I suffer from?
