don't feel like I can continue in college

Not all colleges have a core requirement. Have you thought about transferring? Also, I find bigger colleges require less interpersonal communication.

College isn't the only option either. There are good trade schools around if you look around and they cut out the irrelevant classes.

Look, if you feel you are having a crisis in your life. Just take a break and you can go back to college later when your mind is in a better place. You say you are taking classes you don't like. Well, maybe this break would be a good thing for you to think more about the things you like/want out of life and how you want to get there. This is the exact reason i do not work right now. Work will never go anywhere I can always go back to it later. I feel I need to work things out with my health and take time to figure out what I like and want. Only this way can I better guide my life in the direction I want.

You mention your parents. Did they force you into these classes? Are they the classes they want you to take? If so, this is part of the problem. The only way to ever be happy in life is to make your own decisions.

Besides not communicating with anyone there and having to take irrelevant classes I hate, I find myself so totally uninterested and unmotivated that I flunk all my classes. My parents have ignored my contention that I can't continue. What should I do?

Have you considered taking a temporary break from school? Even the best students can feel burnt out from college because there can be so much pressure involved in the whole thing. If you do take a break though you need to make sure that make good use of the time to deal with whatever is troubling you.

An idea for you in this situation is to perhaps try asking for maybe 2-3 weeks off, say you are going on a holiday or something that requires you to not attend but ask if they can still send you homework so you dont fall behind ...during that time study in a quiet place and try to get more to grips with some of the work at the same time you are giving yourself a bit of a break from the classroom as well and then afterwards you could return with a fresh perspective but try and use the 3 weeks to help you get back into some sort of motivational routine.

or as others have said take a break, but if this is the course that suits you the most then personally i would stick it out, only because it means you can complete it sooner rather then later ...

if you draw out a plan for how this course will make your life better and you can find 1-2 aspects that appeal to you about the course then become really great at that and keep trying.
