Does anyone find it harder in summer?

I feel a lot lonlier in the summer, knowing that all those normal people are out with their girlfriends, boyfriends, mates and families enjoying the sunshine

no invites to beach cricket for Horatio... no late night romantic walks on the beach watching the sunset for Horatio... nope, no outdoor concerts either

sure I could force myself out more and all but I just feel lonlier when I walk amongst crowds of strangers, all of whom in twos, threes or groups. summer makes me feel left out

at least in winter I know that most people are spending their weekends inside too!

btw - here is a satellite photo of the island where I live (its winter down south!) this was taken last weekend which was particularly chilly

I agree- that's a very, very nice photo Horatio. Did you take it yourself? (lol, only joking!)

haha yeah I was trying out my new super wide lens camera

NASA took the photo with one of their spy satellite whilst looking for Osama. I like it cause it looks like a scene from "The Day After Tomorrow" when the world is thrown into a new ice age

Oh I sympathise with the weather you are having lately, i was born and raised in NZ (Hastings, Nth Island) until I was 13, and the winters were f*ckin cold. I’ve been watching news coverage of all the record snowfalls and power outages the South Island has been having. Apparently the snow is gonna cost the insurance companies a few billion dollars....and what about the poor sheep out there in the cold? What will the Aussies tease us Kiwi's about now?

Yeah its been bloody cold these past 2 or 3 weeks, snowing down south here several times. Lucky Im not in the high country, a lot of people have been cut off for a week now and the forecast is for another snow storm here this Sunday...

hahahaha the cricket team plus a few other things ... I got teased mercilessly about my kiwi accent when i moved to Australia. All the kids at school would go "say ten, or fish and chips"..Complete morons the lot of em. Don't they know how to speak proper english, and round their vowels? 8)

i'm ashamed to say i haven't actually experienced snow, just alot of frost! (although when i lived in NZ it was on the surrounding mountains during winter), the furtherest i'm been down South is Picton. But i still feel sorry for the people who have no power, makes you wonder what the hell is happening with the weather lately.
