A good general practitioner GP or an endochronologist or dematologist. A good psychiatrist is also a great place to end up.....A lot of psychiatrists are familiar with hyperhidrosis since Ssri and Snri antidepressants drugs cause exessive sweating..
My first try would be seeing your regular Doc. GP and bring along something from the internet showing the drugs efficacy for hyperhydrosis. I have some pages copied so if anyone needs some anecdotal case study for the drugs i mentioned, just ask....
Hi,
Great story, I'm glad you have found your answer, that's fantastic

I'm envious because I'm in that place at the moment when you think "I'm never going to be happy or see the end of this condition", but you have given me hope again. I start oxybutynin this week (hopefully some improvement); I have been told by my dermatologist that in 6 months time I am to return and if that works, great, but if it doesn't I may be moved onto Pro-banthine. I haven't heard about the other 2 drugs you say you have used (periactin [cyproheptadine] or benztropine) being used for HH, so that is great.
Is cyproheptadine and benztropine only used for drug-induced HH, or can they be used for generalised/craniofacial? That is what I suffer from. Also, can you please provide me with the scientific studies, perhaps in a private message? Thank you.
Best of luck,
TLB
