i have a toothache the last two days and i say another 24 hours of pain and illl have no choice but too go to dentist but last time i felt every bit of the extraction im terrified can you get knocked out completly but im then scared of not waking up.::::::::

I recently had a lot of work done at the dentist. One thing I find not so bad is that you can't really talk to them anyways since they always have stuff in your mouth! It's very unlikely that for tooth pain they will knock you out completely, they will most likely just numb that area that they are working on. If they do it correctly you shouldn't be able to feel anything while it's happening. It's something that has to be done, and although it is unpleasant, it will be worth it in the long run.

I always get several local anesthesias on the area that needs most work. Two injections usually does the trick for me.

Couldn't you ask for that too?
