Delusions

To me it seems that there’s more than one
Suffering from a strong delusion.
They say I’m “great and wondrous.”
I can’t see the need for fuss.
I’m just me, weird and insane.
Moths flying around my brain.
Oh, they are so nice to be so kind
About my inferior mind.
I’m not sweet, and I’m not great
I just live inside my crate
Trapped within my world so small
Feeling I‘m worth nothing at all.
Pointless and hopeless, and yet they see
Something more inside of me.
The deluded one, I sometimes think
Is really on that nearing brink
Of finding that it was herself
That was deluded all along…

Lol - It's a joke one rather than a serious one. ;) Hehe... I deliberately broke from the rhyming couplets at the end so that the ending was more abrupt...

Another great poem, Starry!, a little sad but very deep poem.
I sometimes feel like that too
Good poem, but remember you are much more than that, you are very talented, even if you insist on denying it!.
I can see it by the way you write the poems 8)
