I sit here, get drunk, pump my music. Play guitar. But no one cares.
No one wants to come over. What for, they have better things to do.
Why watch the game with me?
I'm just a drunk anyway.
I hate being drunk and having no friends.
Guess I'll watch the game by myself.

Let's see. I go to school, I come back. I sit on my computer for hours. I try to learn guitar but have no motivation whatsoever. I don't study and I don't do my homework. I just sit here. Waste time away while the sun shines outside.

Yeah, I'll come over, at least I'll be with somebody for a while.

Join a band and/or have a gig?
Or at least a singalong-together? (That was one of my favorite parts of dorm life.. my neighbours really enjoyed it too.. It depends if you can play the songs people actually know how to sing to? Or could you learn? There was a guy who could actually play better than me but got too 'artistic' while for me the best part was singing together and having a good time.. maybe it's just a question of adjusting the rhythm or playing more major than minor..? or playing songs that can make people grin and sing along?) I'd totally hang out if we'd sing good songs!
Maybe people around you just have different taste in music? Or you just need to find something compatible you'd both like? Or you'd actually need to go ask them to come? When people had music on I never knew if they had a private party or actually neighbours were welcome to come too...?

I don't like the too-much-drinking part though, even rockstars these days need to keep somewhat sober to keep their chords straight?

My motivation was to learn to play the chords so we/I could sing along.. I'd actually LOVE to learn to play better (like on JustinGuitar or such..) but don't really have the motivation for that, or a real method how to go about it..

See if you can get someone who can teach you, that might be easier..

There was a guy in our dorm listening to 'satanistic music' a lot - that was quite scary.. (I think most of the dorm was scared lol..) he'd put the music on loud, opened the door and went out, to the kitchen or something..

Interzone, how do you learn from Justin Guitar? Do you watch one video and play along, or...? (I had really good intentions about this last year and then kinda lost inspiration..) It'd really be cool to have more guitar-playing friends yeah.. (I know some but we live all over the country..) I'm a bit afraid of too good musicians too..

Sorry I'm on another continent though!! (And probably older than you guys, lol!!)
