Class from heck!

I'm currently taking a spanish course. I've had to drop this class twice b/c the difficulty of going to class and facing the situation. This is my third attempt and we have to talk to each other, read in class, discuss things. It's hard. I shake the entire time. I fear her calling on me. It's really doing a number on my nerves.

I missed a test b/c I was a bit late and the class was already gone to the testing area. I wasn't late but on time and went to the wrong location. Now I'm super worried about that.

I feel like crap. I hate this class and I don't know what I'm going to do. I fear failing b/c participation is the majority of the grade. ::(:

Can you replace this class with something else? Maybe if you can't try appealing to your class teacher and explain your difficulty, I believe they should understand and allow you to take something else to replace the class. I think in the west schools are more flexible than in the east. Like where I live, you are not allowed to request for deferment of your education unless due to very special reasons. I had myself exempted one semester on grounds of SA, but I would say the school was neither supportive nor helpful. In fact, they suggested I leave school altogether and come back only when I am well! But I imagine it might possibly be different where you are so perhaps you can speak to your teacher.

En realidad el español es bastante fácil, salvo por algunas reglas ortográficas algo complejas. Lo que hago yo para mejorar mi inglés es ver animes subtitulados en inglés todos los días, además de postear aquí. Funciona.

What is really important when learning a new idiom, or just revising notes, is a strong inner motivation, rather than a good teacher, I would say. No matter what you do if you don't love what you study. I don't know if you are learning Spanish for the Hell of it, or because you need it for professional reasons although you don't like it, but both cases are completely different. It's your problem only about facing social situations or is also about the language itself? In this case I could help you out to improve your Spanish skills by PM if you have any doubt, I like teaching.

Deep down, I understand it, cause when I had to face my final Portuguese exam I couldn't do a public speech, so I've got a lousy 7 instead a 10, which was the punctuation I was seeking for. I felt disappointed with myself although I didn't really fail.
