I'd say more dream pop / shoegazing than grunge. But, certainly, still alt. rock.

It's alright. Listenable but nothing really stands out for me.

Whereas in the last song you posted, the bass and drums made the guitar really stand out. And vocals really complimented what the instruments were doing.

If it were me I would turn the bass down a tiny bit, that's probably just my preference as my friend tunes the guitar and bass lower than you do (drop A was the lowest he's gone); but I think you're doing pretty good overall.
