Bulk billing psychologists in Melbourne?

Hi All

I was wondering if there is any bulk billing psychologist or psychiatrist in Melbourne? I really need to see one and the 12 medicare sessions are really not
enough for me.

I appreciate any suggestions you can provide me
Do public hospitals have psychologist/psychiatrists who see patients for free?

Unforunately, my psychologist doesn't bulk bill, but that doesn't stop him from being so damn good.

i use to go to a place in sydney that was free, that kinda looks like the melb version of where i went too!. probably not anywhere near you dunno if it'll help or not the numbers are on the right side to call. Or you could always talk to your local doctor they can refer you to someone....

Yeah, I have to pay in full, then claim the Medicare rebate afterwards.
One way to have some idea that you're going to get something out of seeing a particular psychologist is finding out if they are associated or in full membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Also, making sure you're actually seeing a psychologist (Ph.D.), instead of a counsellor or a social worker. Psychiatrists specialise more in diagnosis and medical prescription, and are probably not what you're looking for.
