Black Friday

Last Black Friday I ventured out at about 5am. Circuit City had long lines to get in and so did Best Buy. But I wanted the Transformers Blu-ray ($10) from Best Buy so I parked and went in. Immediately I was anxious due to the crowding and pandemonium, so I left after 10 minutes.

Instead I went to Staples, Radio Shack, Office Max and Office Depot. All were fairly empty, organized and well stocked. I bought some 8gb usb flash drives for like $12 each, blank CDs & DVDs, CD binders, etc.

This year I think I'll avoid Best Buy entirely. It's really not worth the hassle to save a couple of bucks :p

No black friday shopping for me. Rather save my money than buy worthless electronics. ALready got plenty of DVDs and videogames.

yeah jake, i know circuit city is closed here for sure, too...

and i haven't ever been into the black friday thing.. waking up before 5am just doesn't do well with me, haha.. not even for shopping!! i can't stand being in the stores on a normal slightly busy traffic day, much less on black friday with loads of crazy soccer moms trying to save big on christmas!! i'd end up knuckin' with someone for sure! hahaha

and also, i worked at 'bath and body works' a few years ago for like three weeks, haha.. they expected me to come in at like 4 or 5am on black friday to work all day long...... yeah, i definitely didn't show up or talk to those people ever again! lmao

I'm in I.T. and all those worthless electronics are what makes the world go around. The point of shopping on Black Friday is saving money. At college they require me to have flash drives, so why not have quality gear at a decent price.

Last Black Friday, I bought my wife a new PC (Acer at Office Depot $249). She said she didn't want it, so I gave it to my sister. Two months later when she went to install Visual Studio on her old PC she realized she would need a new PC after-all. Luckily Costco had the same Acer for almost the same price. Technology advances, if you don't advance with it you get left behind.

Thats cool. But for me I dont need them. Most people out on black friday are going nuts to buy electronics they dont need.
