awkward day at work

Well today I was working as usual and my boss randomly asked me to step inside his office and sit down and "get comfortable." He's like do you like your job? What is your favorite part of the job other than salary? I had to give an answer like learning new things, etc. Anyone else have this happen?

The job I had last year would have every employee fill out similar questions on a survey online every 6 months. They're probably checking to see how people feel about working in the company to identify potential problems or ways to improve the work environment.
