Are you afraid of friends' boyfriends/girlfriends

I'm not a jealous type who can't stand to see my friend happy. I'm just scared that the new person will resent my presence as an intruder, so I compensate by being nice to them, which makes me worry that I'm coming off as desperate to be liked, which I am.

PS: I didn't join this forum because I was well balanced, in case there was any doubt

I get what you are saying, Ive had this situation a few times. Both the friend and the BF/GF sometimes will want no part of anyone and kinda go off on their own. Ive lost a few friends, even my own brother to controlling GFs/Wives. I was viewed as someone who would interfere I guess.

I haven't had much opportunity to socialise with my friends' bfs, but this reminds me of that one time when I had a classmate and we had lunch with her bf, there was a whole group of us, and I just felt uncomfortable I thought I was going to vomit and was generally in a daze, I don't even know why, and no, I wasen't jealous, probably nervous? It was a weird feeling, ok, maybe not so weird, its the same exact feeling I sometimes get when my SA acts up..

I'm afraid of ANYONE I don't know unless they are medical personnel. Ive been around medical personnel since I was born and all my life so I'm not afraid of them.

When it comes to befriending people of the opposite sex, I tend to not get too close to guys who have girlfriends. The reason for this is because I do not trust girls with boyfriends. I find many of them to be crazy, possessive, and beyond jealous. The last thing I want is them hawking me and accusing me of trying to 'steal' their man. *Eye roll*

What's ironic about this is that one of the few guys I am close to has a girlfriend, and she's worse than any other girlfriend. Not only is she uber possessive and beyond jealous, but she's just downright rude to nearly every girl she meets, except for maybe her own family. She doesn't even like him saying a simple 'hello' to another girl.
