Does anyone on here suffer from a fear called Geliophobia.
Its a fear of Laughter or being around people who are laughing.
I never knew such a phobia existed until I punched into the internet (fear of laughter or laughing) & this word came up.
Strange I know but not so.It seems to be quite common.
It apparently is a phobia of some kind but not widely known what causes it.
In my case I have avoided watching some comedy programmes on TV or walking along past people who are laughing with each other or being in a crowd of people & start laughing.
Of course depending on the people who I might know can be different & then it doesn't kick-in so much but walking past people in the street has definately gotten worse for me in recent years. Whether or not I can imagine its me being with them & I can imagine them laughing at me because of what I suffer from like (shyness,soc phobia/anxiety,low self-esteem,lack of confidence etc) but its rediculous because how would they know what im like if they don't know me.
It depends on how im feeling at the time I guess.
But anyway does or has anyone experienced the above.::
