The other day I was discussing with another person (online) about a certain med that we both took. I take Alprazolam before going to university every morning (0,25mg) to reduce my anxiety (I get anxious in quiet places with a lot of people).
The person I was talking to takes about 1mg, but he does it on his weekends. I asked him why and he said that he got anxious when he was alone at home with nothing to do.
I didn't have a chance to continue the conversation but I was wondering how that can trigger anxiety. I don't understand how having nothing to do can trigger anxiety, from my perspective it only makes someone feeling bored.
Can anyone enlighten me on this?
