i've noticed alot of people on here don't use AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) but use MSN.

do people in the UK mainly use MSN while in the states it's AIM?

i rarely come across anyone in the states that uses MSN...

You can use Gaim to talk to people on AIM, MSN, Google Talk and others.

It is what I use and I highly recommend it. It is free and there are no ads or anything like what AIM has. It is also known as 'open source software' which means in a lot of cases they are not trying to make money off of it but trying to give people an alternative to the monopolies.
