A tip I have found helpful

I believe that our anxiety is a false alarm in the brain trying to help us. It was learned a long time ago in the past. So I have found it helpful to mentally (and verbally if you'd like) to constantly and relentlessly tell yourself something like, "screw this, this anxiety is not helping me." If we truly understand this fact, that this worry and self-consciousness in NOT helping us whatsoever, perhaps we can switch the brain's belief pattern and start the path to freedom.

Just something that has helped me.

I find that drinking a crap-load of Jameson's Irish Whiskey helps me.

Well, perhaps "helps" isn't really the right word. "Numbs" would probably be the right word.

Mmmmm.... Jaaaaameson.......

In all seriousness though, somehow that actually never occurred to me - just reminding yourself that it's not necessary. It makes perfect sense - I mean, all anxiety is is your subconscious mind's defense against uncomfortable situations. Unfortunately subconscious minds don't have the best foresight in that regard, so we have to keep them in check with our conscious minds.
