see their face in the mirror?

i'd say you might be following a little too closely

but i remember what bumper-to-bumper traffic was like on I-5 and I-405....

Hmm for me it's the opposite. I always think that people are chasing me (I'm a pretty slow driver so it's not far-fetched ^_^). One time a police car "followed" me from the street next to my house to a street next to my uni (my destination). The were behind me for 30 min! When they finally turned to the left I was so relieved but confused that I missed my own turn -_-

Yes! I have this issue too. Sometimes I am more aware of the drivers than myself. I try not to look at the drivers' faces so that I don't get distracted.

I wish I had the same sort of freedom you have when I drive, that's even if I do have the guts to drive.

But yeah, I don't like to so much if drivers behind me looking, especially more so when you end up stalling! I fear or get anxious driving in and around town, seeing people I know and fearing I'll end up stalling or hitting a car and then they laughing at me!

I also have some driving anxiety, i sometimes watch more the driver behind me then in front of me.I wonder what they might say or do when they are stuck behind me.
