The hypocrisy around the Greta Thunberg movement is driving me insane. Everyone claims they want change and action but no one wants to make any sacrifice. No one wants anything taken away from them. Everyone wants others to pay the price. Now Leaders are going to make new promises to reach some...

    Frequent nightmares 😫

If I had nightmares to such degree that it would be problematic, I would try yoga, meditation and running, I would watch less TV and videos (and only happy stuff), I would take a walk every morning or evening, and I would stop eating crap completely and see how it goes.

I remember telling someone to stop trying to drag me into the past because it's a f*cking mine field and I meant exactly that. It's ok to dig up the past if the purpose is to fix an actual issue that you have in the present because of something that happened in the past. Other than that, I'd...

Yup, that's why I went the conventional way to make money as an attempt to finance my unconventional projects

My life is better since I came out as a "boring person who doesn't drink alcohol and doesn't like to hang out so if you really need to see me just suggest an activity or something" Unconventional is bad when you're trying to forge a place for yourself in the conventional world. But forging...

    Small talk

After more than 6 years of small talk with the same people in the same workplace, I can say Nate is entirely right in his post. It doesn't matter what you say. No need to overthink it. It's just a matter of saying anything in a friendly manner to show that you are not hostile. The key is in...

    Weekends

Sounds like you are having productive weekends. Except for the social media part. I usually get up super early like 5am, make coffee, grab some food in a hurry, jump on my bike or in my car to go on a hike or any sort of expedition in a forest somewhere, and at noon when the People start...

I locked my keys in the car so many times that at some point I had to come up with a sophisticated system in order to make sure I was able to recover them in any kind of situation. In the end this whole embarrassment turned into a funny story about why I have so many double of all my keys hidden...

Are you ever jealous of other people?

I made peace years ago with everything I don't have that others do, because I still managed to make my life interesting and reasonably comfortable from my point of view, but I still have some difficulties with wealthy people who complains. I think I'm jealous of the fact that everything I have...

I think I stayed too long in the carribeans and had a sun overdose. I'm usually happy to see spring after 6 months of dark winter but this year I already can't wait for the days to get shorter and I'm relieved on rainy days.

What you could do though, is buy a westfalia or a big van, hit the road and go on a quest to find the most peaceful spots remaining in your country. Or your continent. This doesn't require to talk to people a lot more than usual, in fact if you live and work with people it's going to be a break...

Stay alone and read books? The wise voice in my head tells me it's probably better not to quit my current job right now, it's not a good time. For the 2 volunteering options, I'm still thinking about it.

Huh. I've been offered a couple of possibly interesting opportunities in the last weeks that would force me to get out there and, you know, meet new people. One volunteering position that would be a good way to contribute positively to this world. One other volunteering position that could turn...

Yeah I know how you feel and I don't know if I should try to give advice on this, since I have a hard time myself staying calm in confrontational situations, but here's the few tricks I found so far to keep a certain control: Before the meeting, try to put your ideas in order so that they come...
